This summer, I really want to get in shape. This past year, my dad has really gotten in to running, and has run quite a few races. At the last festival, he ran a 5k and a 10k race right in a row!
So my goal this summer is to be able to run a 5k with him. This is gonna be super hard for me, because I absolutely freaking hate running, but I know it will not only be beneficial to my health, but it will be something that we can do together.
Since I really am not one who exercises regularly (if at all), I needed to find a regimen that would fit my needs of easing me into running, and building up to running 3.1 miles (or 5k).
My dad recommended me a plan to get fit and ready for the 5k, and when I read about it, I knew that this was a good training plan for me.
The first few days have been kind of slow, and I have run more than they have said to (I don’t know if this is good or not, but after that I don’t feel like I’ve exercised enough!), but other than that I feel really good!
My legs and abs have that good burn, so I know that it’s doing its job.
