Blogging relationships… my thoughts

Fellow bloggers, I have been thinking… I visit blogs on a regular basis, and I really feel that their content allows me to really get to know them, and I hope that you feel the same about what I write here.

I might tweet other bloggers, connect in Facebook groups, or chat back and forth via email or comments.

There are some bloggers with whom I am in more contact than I am with my real life friends. We may not meet up for coffee, but we have built genuine relationships.

A tweet to a blogger in the USA comes with as much sincerity from me as a text inviting a friend in London for lunch.

If I don’t visit a particular blog or see social media activity from a particular blogger in a few days, I will start to miss them.

This blogging phenomenon means a lot to me because it means that I have found other women who love books, history, creativity or beauty as much as I do. Without blogging, we would never have connected, never known we existed.

It’s a world that as a child, I would never have thought was possible! What are your own thoughts?
