I love a good pamper session. However, I don’t have the budget to be going to the salon for professional manicures and massages a few times a month. The good news is that it’s perfectly possible to enjoy pampering yourself without parting with a wad of cash. Here are my tips!
Curl up with a film and a snack
Watching a film at home is much cosier (and cheaper) than going to the cinema. Snuggle under your favourite blanket after making a snack; whether that’s a cup of tea, popcorn or a bar of chocolate. There’s no need to worry about your bank balance and it can feel very indulgent!
At home beauty treatments
A face mask from your local store is a lot more affordable than a spa treatment. Choose your favourite flavour and apply in the privacy of your own home. If a face mask isn’t your thing, then consider an intensive hair mask or maybe a body scrub.
Have a bath
Personally I don’t tend to use expensive bath bombs; I just pour in a regular bath soak and sit back. There’s nothing more relaxing than lying back in the bath and feeling your troubles float away with the bubbles.
Do it yourself manicure
I love picking out my favourite nail polishes, sitting down at the table and painting my nails, followed by using a lovely hand cream. When my nails look good, I feel good, and this is my go to pamper option.
Go to bed
Treat yourself to an early night. Extra sleep is a great way to show yourself some love. Get under your duvet and catch those zzzzzs!
