Secret girl behaviour when I’m home alone

home alone clock face

I love being home alone; a quiet, precious evening of girl time. I am so very grateful for the opportunity to indulge in some secret and not-so-secret habits, which I’m about to share with you…

Pyjamas, slippers and dressing gown are my uniform of choice

Clothes aren’t allowed, and my bra is positively banned from proceedings. It’s important to wear comfy pjs so that you can easily snuggle under a blanket on the sofa!

Housework is not on the agenda

I may wash a few dishes, but the laundry is staying in the basket, and that duster/bleach/cloth is staying in the cupboard. My house isn’t spotless and I’m not going to apologise.

Dinner will be quick and easy

Pesto and pasta for one? Yes please! When I get home from work I don’t want to spend hours standing over the stove. I want a meal that will be ready in 15 minutes, tops.

There will be singing and dancing

I may choose to bop around the living room, or let out a song while my pasta boils!

I will have a good old chat with my housemates…

… the guinea pigs. It may sound like they’re just squeaking to you, but I know they’re highly interested in hearing about my day and are hanging on my every word.
