So, I have plans for my retirement! Here’s what I will be like if I’m lucky enough to reach 75.
Bright hair colour
There’ll be no grey rinse for me. More like a vivid purple or red, and rather than a bouffant maybe a long plait/braid.
Pets
Unfortunately, I don’t think I will be surrounded by guinea pigs, as we’ve decided not to have any more after the last two. But I definitely envisage a cat purring on my lap.
Hobbies
I know I will still be busy with my crochet, and devouring books on an even larger scale than I do now. I will also be enjoying country walks, afternoon tea and catching up with friends. Hopefully after 50 years of crochet I will be an absolute whizz and everyone will be coming to me to make things for them!
Charities
I will spend time on the causes close to my heart, whether by volunteering in a shop or hosting coffee mornings in my house.
Personality
I imagine myself as being a quiet but friendly old lady. I hope I will have some advice to impart after all of those years, and I’ll be a good listener to whoever needs an ear.
