Week 3 of C25K

preparing for running

Well, I’m still running. I’m still looking forward to my runs, planning them into my schedule and putting one trainer in front of another.

Last week, I wondered if I should repeat week 2 of the programme, but when I read more about the week’s runs I felt more confident.

The schedule was a 90 second run followed by a 90 second walk, then a three minute run followed by a three minute walk. This was repeated twice.

As I knew that the 90 second runs were doable after last week, I felt able to try the three minute runs aswell. I was astounded when I got through the three minute runs.

I completed the three runs of the week, and I am overjoyed with my progress. I can’t recommend C25K enough. There’s still at least 6 weeks to go before I will run 5k in 30 mins, and I am a bit nervous about going into week 4.

But I’ve come this far and if I do need to repeat a week, so be it.
