I have spent most of this week nursing a virus, which has meant a lot of Netflix and sofa time. Here’s what I have been watching:
Once Upon a Time
One of my all time favourite shows, I just finished Series 3. In case you don’t already know, the show is about what happens when fairytale characters are cursed to spend their lives in a modern day town, without knowing their true identities. I enjoyed this series very much although the Neverland arc was a little long in my view, I can’t wait to watch Series 4 and see what mayhem Elsa from Frozen brings to the show!
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
This is such a great comedy about a woman who is freed from a cult and makes her way in New York. By the end of the series, I was quite tired though thanks to the craziness of the characters! Titus was by far my favourite, what a fabulous character and the actor has an amazing voice. I hope they make more episodes.
Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp
Basically, if Bradley Cooper stars, I am in. But this series does not make much sense if you haven’t seen the film which it prequels (and I haven’t). It’s quite funny to see the amazing cast portraying teenagers, but I couldn’t face more than a couple of episodes.
Grace and Frankie
This is another one which I couldn’t face watching for long. Grace and Frankie are thrown together when their husbands declare their love for each other. But the whole situation fell so flat for me (why did the husbands go home with their wives after explaining they were leaving?) and I gave up.
Why didn’t I watch this sooner? This historical drama about Mary Queen of Scots’ life in France is littered with inaccuracies but I simply can’t resist a period piece. It’s very addictive and even though I love history in its truest form, a good dramatisation never goes amiss in my book.
